For more than 35 years, Feeding America has responded to the hunger crisis in America we are providing food to people in need through a nationwide network of food banks Meaningful Trips makes an annual donation to Feeding America.
Carbon Offset Project
Tourism is responsible for roughly 8% of the worlds carbon emissions, making it a significant contributor to climate change. A round trip flight from Seattle to Paris can produce about one metric ton of carbon. (this is a quarter of the amount of carbon that the average person worldwide produces per year). Travel is a privilege; and with privilege comes responsibility. Carbon offsetting allows us to compensate for the carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas in missions produced by reducing omissions somewhere else. Each Meaningful Trips departure offsets 10,000 pounds (5 metric tons) of CO2 through Sustainable Travel International’s Carbon Offset Program. Funds go to vetted, high-quality projects supporting: forests and biodiversity, clean energy and local communities.
