Option 2: Archaeological sites of Coba and Tulum, Winter dates (Nov – Feb):
Visit the great Mayan archaeological sites of Coba and Tulum. These precious cities have had a great influence on the Yucatan Peninsula. Here you can discover the authentic Maya culture and traditions.

Day 3 - Cenotes Near Puerto Morelos
Ever go snorkeling? INSIDE a jungle? Mexico’s Yucatan interior is dotted with 6,000 cenotes (pronounced: say-NO-tays). Cenotes are caverns, natural swimming holes, that have formed under the porous limestone surface. Cenotes were sacred spots to the Mayans and taking a snorkel and swim here in the crystalline water is a unique, unforgettable experience.

Day 4 - Birdwatching near Puerto Morelos
Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is home to 500 species of birds. We’ll get up extra early and head again to the pristine jungle to search for birds. Keep your eyes peeled for toucans, honeycreepers, flycatchers and much more. We’ll return before 2 pm and check in at new hotel in Tulum, for siesta, pool and beach time. Breakfast and snack included.

Day 5 - Snorkel & Sea Turtle Swim, and Cenote Azul
Your entire family will relish the opportunity to swim with sea turtles in their natural habitat near Akumal. Your guide will provide nature interpretation. What an outstanding learning opportunity for all (but especially the young ones) in how remarkable nature is and how it is up to us to respect and care for these and all creatures on the planet. This day also includes snorkeling at the famous “Cenote Azul”. We return around noon. Breakfast and snack included.

Day 6 - Boat Excursion in Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve

Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Mexico’s most pristine nature reserves. Sian Ka’an is pronounced: (SEE-0n- khan). Take an eco boat excursion in the wetlands and down freshwater mangrove channels made by the ancient Maya over 1,000 years ago. Pretend you are Dora the Explorer while you hike through the jungle; And it wouldn’t be the Riviera Maya without a swim too. You will also learn from the guide about ongoing conservation projects in this area. We will have a late lunch in Tulum, then transfer back to Cancun hotel by 6:30 pm

Day 7 - Departures home
We wish you a pleasant flight back filled with memories of your amazing adventures, and the beauty of the Mayan and Mexican culture.
